Privacy policy

1. Who we are

Tester is a free self-knowledge platform: psychology, personality, and relationship tests, plus short explanatory articles. There is no registration and no user account.

2. What data we process

Tests do not ask for identity details (name, email) or an account. Answers stay in your browser while you take a test and are not stored on our server as a personal file. To keep the site running safely, hosting may briefly log technical details (for example IP address or browser type), as described below.

We may process only what we need to run the site:

• Technical server logs. The host may briefly record IP address, browser type, and the page requested so the site can run, be fixed when broken, and stay protected from abuse.
• Messages you send. If you write to info@tester.lt, we use the details in that email to reply.
• Consent choice. Your cookie preference is stored in the browser (see Cookies below).
• Analytics (optional). If you choose Accept, Google Analytics 4 helps us measure visits and key actions (for example starting or finishing a test). Without consent, analytics scripts do not load.

3. Cookies and consent

A cookie or localStorage entry is a small record on your device. Tester always uses a necessary entry tester_cookie_consent so we know you have seen the banner and which choice you made. It is not used for ads or profiling and lasts until you clear it or change the setting.

The banner buttons mean:

• Accept — allows Google Analytics 4 (measurement ID G-LR28BJF9PJ ) and related analytics storage so we can understand how the site is used.
• Essential only — analytics stays off; only the consent record remains. If you later switch to Essential only after accepting, analytics may finish the current session but will not load on the next page view.

We do not use advertising or marketing trackers. You can reopen the banner anytime:

4. Third-party content

To render pages as designed — and, with your consent, to measure traffic — we load files from third parties. Their servers may see your IP address and technical request data:

• Google Fonts — Plus Jakarta Sans and Newsreader (Google Ireland Limited / Google LLC).
• Google Analytics 4 — visit and event statistics (Google Ireland Limited / Google LLC), only after Accept. More: Google Privacy Policy .

Those providers process data under their own policies. We do not send them your test answers.

5. Legal basis and retention

Keeping the site running and secure rests on legitimate interest and, where needed, on providing the service you asked for (opening a page, taking a test). The consent banner record is necessary to remember your choice. Analytics rests on your consent. Emails are processed so we can answer you.

Server logs are usually kept only as long as needed for operations and security. Emails are kept until the request is handled, unless law requires longer. Analytics retention follows Google Analytics settings.

6. Your rights

Under the GDPR, when we process personal data you may have the right to access, correct, erase, restrict processing, object, and — where it applies — data portability. You may also complain to the State Data Protection Inspectorate of Lithuania .

Test answers are not stored on our server as your personal file, so we cannot provide them as an individual record. You can withdraw analytics consent through cookie settings. For other rights (for example emails), write to info@tester.lt .

7. Children

The site is aimed at adults and self-reflection. Tests are not a medical or psychological diagnosis. If you are under 16, use the site only with a parent or guardian’s knowledge.

8. Changes

If how we handle data changes, we will update this page and the date above. Material cookie changes will show again through the consent banner.
